The DirectX diagnostic tool dxdiag is the best way to obtain your PC’s configuration. This tool is found with DirectX 6.0 and all following versions.
To use dxdiag : in Windows, click Start, Run and type dxdiag then click on OK.
If the diagnostic tool doesn’t appear, or you get an error message, you can download and install the latest version of DirectX from Microsoft’s web site : www.microsoft.com/directx.
